Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted the latest Express Entry draw on November 27, 2019, inviting 3600 candidates to apply.
The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of the lowest ranked candidate who received an ITA on this draw was 471, which was reduced from 472 in the last draw on November 13, 2019.
This draw also saw the tie- breaking rule implemented on November 11, 2019 at 1.29am EST.
What is the Tie-Breaking Rule?
IRCC had introduced a tie-breaking rule in the Express Entry Draws. This rule was applicable only for the candidate who had the same score as the minimum CRS draw score. It does not affect to the candidates who have a score higher than the minimum CRS draw score.
- If Allan submitted his profile with a score of 460 into the Express Entry on November 1st, 2018 and received confirmation of the same on November 1, 2018.
- Myra submitted her profile with a score of 460 on November 20th, 2018 and received confirmation regarding the same on November 20, 2018.
- Jamie submitted his profile with a score of 465 on November 22nd, 2018 and received confirmation regarding the same on November 22, 2018.
- On November 24th, 2018, IRCC handed out 3000 Invitations to Apply to anyone who had a score of 460 or above, with a tie breaking rule on November 18th, 2018.
